When interviewing, you should get answers to questions in critical areas that will prove very important to your real estate career

  1. Is the firm Broker a REALTOR?  Are they active REALTORS and Members of various Multiple Listing Services?
  2. Does the firm's Name and Reputation reflect integrity, professionalism and success?
  3. Will they actually train you and help you succeed?  Is there a planned program? If so, how extensive is it? (Compare programs carefully)
  4. Is the firm an active member of at least one of the larger Relocation and Cooperate Transfer Networks?
  5. Does the firm have a demonstrated record of growth?
  6. Can the firm show a record of leadership and participation within the real estate industry and community?
  7. Do they advertise extensively to build image and reputation?
  8. Do they have a plan program for the promotion of listings and sales throughout the industry?
  9. Are the offices open seven days a week, including weekdays and evenings?
  10. Do they have a written Independent Contractor Agreement?
  11. Do they have a written Policy and Procedure Manual which you may review and discuss?
  12. Is the firm backed by "seasoned management"?  Do they have experienced sales managers who are there solely to help you?
  13. Is the firm locally owned and managed so that it is concerned and responsive to the sales associates?  Is it flexible in responding directly and quickly to local market conditions?
